Downloading, installing or using KernelAI means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use KernelAI for personal, non-commercial purposes, on the terms set out here.

You may not:

KernelAI gives you access to open-source models built by other organisations. They are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and each one stays subject to its original creator's licence.

A model can be confidently wrong. None is guaranteed to be accurate, complete, unbiased or fit for a particular purpose, and any of them can produce something you did not want. Judging the output is your job, and no output should drive a decision that matters without a person checking it.

You agree to:

KernelAI, its original content and its features are ours, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property law. The open-source models in the app belong to the people who built them, are credited to them, and remain under their respective licences.

Your conversations are processed on your device and are not sent to us, so we cannot retrieve them for you.

Backing up anything you want to keep is your responsibility. If you delete the app or lose the device, what it stored goes with it.

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, AND WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANYTHING A MODEL GENERATES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KERNELAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE OR GOODWILL, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

KernelAI needs iOS 15.1 or Android 7.0 or later. How well it runs depends on the phone: an older device has less memory and will be slower with the larger models, or unable to run them at all. We may change the minimum requirements in a future release.

We may update the app, add or remove features, or stop offering it, at any time and without notice.

We may also change these terms by posting a new version on this page. Continuing to use the app after that counts as accepting it.

We may suspend or end your access to the app at any time and without notice, including if you break these terms, and your right to use it stops immediately.

Anything the app stored stays on your device, where we can neither reach it nor delete it.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes arising from these terms, or from your use of the app, are to be resolved in the appropriate courts.
